Mental Health Support at Baldivis Family Medical Centre

Mental Health

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. At Baldivis Family Medical Centre, we provide a safe, confidential space for you to talk openly about how you’re feeling. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression or life changes, our GPs are here to support your mental wellbeing and guide you toward effective care.

Understanding Mental Health

It’s normal to experience emotional ups and downs—but if feelings like sadness, worry or overwhelm start to affect your daily life, it’s time to reach out. Our doctors are experienced in identifying and managing a wide range of mental health conditions, and we’re here to help you find a way forward.

We can assist with:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Stress and burnout
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Grief and loss
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Eating disorders
  • Child and adolescent mental health

Mental Health Care Plans

If appropriate, your GP can prepare a Mental Health Care Plan, which provides access to Medicare-subsidised sessions with a psychologist or other mental health professional. These plans are tailored to your needs and may include referrals, treatment goals, and ongoing support.

We kindly ask that you book a long consultation (30 minutes) if you wish to discuss mental health concerns. This allows your doctor to give you the time and care you deserve, without rushing or impacting other patients.
