Dr Andrew Kiyingi is a highly skilled Weight Loss and General Surgeon with advanced training in bariatric and minimally invasive surgery. He graduated from the University of Otago (NZ), receiving a University Gold Medal in General Practice and a Distinction in Surgery, and completed his surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2014.
He has been involved in over 300 bariatric surgeries, including laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, single anastomosis gastric bypass, and revisional procedures. He also trained with leading international experts in the field, further refining his surgical techniques and commitment to excellence.
Dr Kiyingi is currently a Surgical Trainer for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and is an active member of several professional organisations, including OSSANZ, General Surgeons Australia, BOMSS, GESA, and IFSO.
