Dr Vijaya Venkataraman is a Consultant Physician specializing in Cardiometabolic, Perioperative, and General Medicine. She earned her MD in Internal Medicine as a gold medalist in India, then completed her MRCP, FRCP, and Diploma in Diabetology in the UK before moving to Australia in 2012.
After working at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital, she moved to Perth and helped establish perioperative services for the NeuroSpine Institute. She holds master’s qualifications in Perioperative Medicine from Monash University and Lipidology from the National Lipid Association, USA, and is a Certified Cardiometabolic Health Practitioner.
Now consulting at Baldivis Family Medical Centre, Dr. Venkataraman brings her extensive expertise to the local community. She offers personalized, comprehensive care in internal medicine, lipid and metabolic risk management, POTS and dysautonomia, and preoperative assessments.
