We welcome walk in patients
Baldivis Family Medical Centre is about 9 km south of central Rockingham, roughly a 12-minute drive down Ennis Avenue and Safety Bay Road. Patients come from Rockingham, Cooloongup, Waikiki and Safety Bay for one reason: they want the same doctor each visit, and they want longer than seven minutes with them.
If you are comparing medical centres in Rockingham, the honest question is not which is closest. It is what you need. For a cut that needs stitches tonight, closest wins. For a diabetes review, a child with asthma, a mental health plan or a skin lesion you’ve been ignoring since summer, the doctor who knows your history wins, and the drive stops mattering after the first visit.
We are a family-owned practice with more than 21 GPs and specialists, and we are open seven days. You choose your GP when you book.

A 12-minute drive south. Same GP every visit, specialists on site, appointments until 8:00 pm.
In an emergency, call 000. Chest pain, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, stroke signs or a serious injury requires an ambulance or the nearest emergency department.
Seeing a GP after-hours in Rockingham usually means a trip to the emergency department or waiting until Monday. Our clinic runs to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday and 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. That means a consult can happen after work or after school rather than instead of it.
You can also walk in during clinic hours without an appointment and be seen by the next available doctor. Booking ahead simply means a shorter wait and your choice of GP.
Infections, fevers, asthma flare-ups, wounds, sprains, ear and throat problems.
Heart and prostate risk checks, health assessments, medication reviews.
Immunisations, development checks, same-day appointments for unwell kids where possible.
Diabetes, heart and lung disease, with GP Management Plans that bring in allied health.
Treatment Plans, on-site psychologists and psychiatrists, and an 8-week CBT group therapy program with Medicare rebates for up to ten sessions a year.
Skin cancer excisions, cysts, ingrown toenails and Implanon insertion or removal in our treatment room under local anaesthetic.
Our women’s health clinic patients from Rockingham can see a GP for cervical screening, contraception including Implanon insertion and removal, sexual health, menopause, iron deficiency and pregnancy care, with a midwife consulting on-site and female GPs available on request.
Ask for a female doctor when you book and reception will match you.
Cervical screening is now a five-yearly test for most people aged 25 to 74, and self-collection is an option you are entitled to ask about. If it has been more than five years, book a long appointment rather than adding it to the end of another consultation.
A skin cancer clinic in Rockingham is worth driving past if it can’t treat what it finds. Our GPs perform full-body skin checks and treatment on-site: cryotherapy for sunspots, biopsy or shave excision for suspicious lesions, and surgical removal of skin cancers under local anaesthetic.
A skin check does not need a referral. The doctor examines you head to toe, including the scalp and between the toes, and anything suspicious is measured, photographed or biopsied at the time. Allow 20 to 30 minutes and book it as a long appointment.
Patients in Rockingham searching for cardiology usually have one of two things: symptoms nobody has explained yet, or a GP referral and a long public wait. Baldivis Family Medical Centre runs ECG and 24-hour Holter monitoring, and a cardiologist consults here.
The Holter monitor is fitted in the clinic rather than at a hospital; the recording is read by a cardiologist, and for eligible Medicare cardholders, the test itself is bulk billed. If you have had palpitations, dizziness or an irregular pulse, this is the test that catches what a 10-second ECG in a consulting room misses.
For the Medicare rebate on any specialist appointment, your GP must write the referral before you attend. Referrals expire and cannot be back-dated.
Dr Masi Karameh provides cosmetic treatments at the practice, including volume enhancement and skin rejuvenation, with a focus on natural results and patient safety. Consultations start with an assessment of what you want to achieve and a clear explanation of the options, the risks and what is realistic.
We are a mixed-billing practice. Some patients are bulk billed; most pay a gap on the day and claim the Medicare rebate back.
Standard appointments are bulk billed for patients under 16, pension and health care card holders, and DVA Gold card holders. DVA White card holders may be bulk billed for covered conditions at the GP’s discretion, and bulk billing may be available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.

Yes. No referral is needed for a skin check at our clinic. Book a long appointment, and if a lesion needs removing, it is done on site under local anaesthetic.
The clinic is open until 8:00 pm Monday to Friday and until 3:00 pm during weekends.
